How this
little garden grew.

Start with the person.

The brief was simple: make this feel like somewhere I’d want to spend time. The ingredients were already here—products, voice research, classrooms, books, anime, and a habit of following questions further than planned.

The direction became “curiosity, put to work.” A small garden where a laptop leads to products, a telescope to research, a notebook to writing, and a bonsai to the person beyond the work.

Leave a little room.

Sublime was the strongest taste reference: white space, tactile imagery, and a feeling that you can look around without being rushed. This site uses original generated still-life artwork, paired with real text, ordinary links, and a photograph from my own classroom work.

Manrope carries the everyday voice. Fraunces adds a softer turn to the headlines. Small monospace labels keep the collection organized. Green, moss, glass, paper, and a little acid yellow connect the pages.

Three sketches, one direction.

These were the visual studies for the introduction, the collection, and the personal side. They are concepts; the finished site uses real content, my existing photograph, and working controls.

Things worth borrowing.

The starting point was Benji Taylor’s thread about personal websites. A few ideas that stayed:

• Sublime — Room to breathe. A tactile visual anchor. Curiosity as a reason to keep looking.
• Talha — A personal space where objects are invitations to explore.
• Sayantan’s Afterhours — A scene that rewards wandering, with clear labels and accessible routes.
• Jacob Jolibois — Physical notebooks as a way to organize a person’s work.
• Pedro Duarte — Little interactions that add personality to plain words.
• Ritik Arora — One bold visual idea, with the confidence to give it space.
• Rachel at Work — A playful object vocabulary that feels specific to its owner.
• Simfonik — A collection that is interesting enough to become the interface.
• Surendran — A room that brings professional work and personal interests together.
• Dvsj — Giving a visitor more than one way to read the same person.
• Vlad Shumov — Switching perspectives without losing the underlying identity.
• Jrands — A sense of atmosphere, with useful navigation still close at hand.

Small choices, on purpose.

• All six products have room here. Praxy is the full-time work, Yapbook is an early experiment, and Gather is part of the path that led here.
• The product shelf has filters and an index view. Each object leads to a real page; navigation also works without exploring the illustration.
• The books and anime come from my existing favourites. The covers are original typographic interpretations.
• A butterfly wanders above the garden; objects respond to your pointer, and sections arrive gently as you scroll. The flower in the header opens a quiet pause. Another flower in the garden grows a few more. Neither interrupts a visit.
• Motion is optional and respects the visitor’s reduced-motion setting. Sound starts off; an optional garden soundscape adds a quiet breeze, soft notes, and paper sounds. There’s no opening sequence or custom cursor.
• Research stays labeled as preprints. Essays link to their published versions. Old business metrics are not presented as current numbers.
• The custom links to AppRill and Yapbook are retained while their domains settle.
• The site was made with Codex, using original AI-generated still-life illustrations. No reference website’s code, photographs, or branded artwork was copied.

A note on the research.

183 distinct destinations were recovered from the accessible thread and opened for an initial page and visual review. The most useful references received closer interaction review. The full inventory is below.

X stopped exposing further replies at “Show probable spam.” Hidden or nested replies may contain additional sites. Some destinations showed a loading screen, verification gate, parked domain, or an error; those are recorded rather than counted as fully explored portfolios.

Built to keep growing.

The pages keep their existing URLs, research links, résumé download, and contact routes. The garden is light enough to be an image, while everything a visitor can read or use is part of the actual page. This is a place for new work to accumulate, not a finished statement about who I am.
